Award-winning film director and member of the Brazilian Academy of Cinema, Renata Jones is the founder and CEO of Jones Pictures, as well as a screenwriter and producer driven by a lifelong passion for cinema.

Non-linear storytelling shapes her layered narratives, building suspense and gradually revealing hidden truths, often culminating in final twists that reframe what the audience thought they knew.

In 'The Outsider', she further explores these influences through Italian giallo, building an atmosphere of mystery that unfolds into striking final twists, with an intensity reminiscent of Stanley Kubrick’s cinema.

In 'We, Brothers', the film draws from 1940s film noir, using a non-linear narrative to build suspense and gradually reveal hidden layers, leading to a final twist that reframes the story for the audience.

In 2025, Jones won the Best Director in an International Short award at the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival for 'We, Brothers'.

She is currently set to shoot her next major projects: 'Harriet', a psychological supernatural thriller set in 1890, shortly after the abolition of slavery in Brazil, blending historical drama with haunting, atmospheric suspense; and 'Memórias', a drama told through the eyes of a ten-year-old boy, whose camera becomes his way of coping with the loss of his best friend.
