ESTAÇÃO CLARO RIO
In September 2026, WE, BROTHERS was screened twice at Estação Claro Rio, one of Rio de Janeiro’s iconic cinema venues, marking another important milestone in the film’s theatrical journey.
The first screening took place as part of the cinema’s Noir programming, with WE, BROTHERS presented alongside Stanley Kubrick’s The Killing. The pairing placed Renata Jones’ contemporary Brazilian film noir alongside one of the most influential works in classic film noir, creating a special double feature for Rio audiences.
The screening generated strong audience interest and reached full capacity, with additional audience members unable to secure tickets. Following the success of the first presentation, Estação Claro Rio opened a second screening of the film on September 13.
For the second screening, WE, BROTHERS was presented alongside The Sweet Smell of Success, the 1957 noir classic starring Burt Lancaster and Tony Curtis. The new double feature gave the film another opportunity to reach Rio audiences while placing it alongside another landmark of American film noir.
Having two theatrical screenings at Estação Claro Rio, and being programmed alongside films by Stanley Kubrick and Alexander Mackendrick, represents an important milestone for an independent Brazilian short film. The screenings also expanded WE, BROTHERS’ theatrical journey beyond the international festival circuit.
