We, Brothers is set in Chicago in 1942 and follows two brothers involved in the mafia as they confront the weight of loyalty, memory, and betrayal. The film’s transatlantic English dialogue and noir atmosphere evoke the golden age of classic American cinema while maintaining a distinctly Brazilian sensibility through Jones’s direction.

The LABRFF awards ceremony also celebrated major Brazilian names. Reginaldo Faria, one of Brazil’s most respected actors, was recognized for his remarkable career and contributions to national cinema.
